Abdulkader Almosa is an incoming first-year medical student (Class of 2030) at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and an alumnus of Texas Tech University, where he earned a degree in General Studies with concentrations in Biology, Chemistry, and Health Professions, along with minors in Arabic and Public Health. He serves as the Chair of the Student Board within Think Tank and is a member of the Health Policy, Symposium, and Mentorship working groups. Abdul joined Think Tank out of a passion for healthcare and public health, inspired by the goal of addressing health disparities and advancing health infrastructures to create sustainable change that prioritizes the needs of marginalized populations and promotes lasting health equity. This year marks his third year of involvement with the TTU System Public Health Think Tank.
At Texas Tech, Abdul graduated Summa Cum Laude with Highest Honors and was named the highest-ranking graduate in the College of Arts & Sciences. He was selected as one of the Tech 10 2025 honorees, inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and recognized multiple times on the President’s Honor List. He was also a 2022 Terry Scholar and gained early acceptance into TTUHSC School of Medicine through the Honors College Undergraduate to Medical School Initiative (UMSI).
Beyond Think Tank, Abdul has conducted undergraduate research in infectious diseases at TTUHSC, served as a Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences in the TTU Student Government Association, and held leadership roles as a First-Year Experience Mentor and Ambassador for the Honors College. He is also active in the Muslim Students Association and the Raider Medical Screening Society, reflecting his continued dedication to service, leadership, and advancing health equity.
