ANANYA LIMAYE
VICE CHAIR OF STUDENT BOARD - Angelo State University
Ananya Limaye is a junior at Angelo State University majoring in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Psychology. She serves as the Vice Chair of the Student Board within Think Tank and is a member of the Community Outreach and Mentorship working groups. Ananya joined Think Tank because she wanted to be part of a group addressing health disparities in West Texas while collaborating with students from various institutions. Her experiences and background have shown her how complex healthcare challenges are, particularly in underserved areas, and she views Think Tank as a way to connect those experiences with her interests in medicine, public health, and community initiatives.
Her academic excellence has been recognized through multiple honors, including being named a Joint Admissions Medical Program (JAMP) Scholar, a Hagan’s National Scholar, and induction into the Alpha Chi Honors Society. Beyond Think Tank, Ananya is deeply engaged in service and leadership. She volunteers as a tutor with the WHIT Program for foster children, participates in the Honors Program at ASU, and is a member of TriBeta, the biological honor society. She also serves on the officer team for Alpha Chi Honors Society and volunteers in nursing home and hospice care. These experiences reflect her dedication to education, mentorship, and advancing healthcare access in underserved communities.
