Megan Pilcher

Megan Pilcher is a second-year medical student at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Lubbock. She serves as the Social Media Manager for Think Tank. Megan joined Think Tank to highlight the hard work of her peers, deepen her understanding of public health, and expand her skills in social media management within a new professional environment. Through this role, she combines her passion for storytelling with her commitment to promoting impactful student and community initiatives.

Her extracurricular involvement reflects her dedication to mentorship and health education. She serves as a Dean’s Ambassador, is an officer of the Healthcare Collaborative Leadership Team where she mentors underserved high school students interested in health careers, and is President of the Integrative, Complementary, and Alternative Medicine Interest Group, which explores holistic approaches to patient care and conversations around complementary practices. Megan also co-coordinates the Fitness and Nutrition Elective, works as a cycle instructor, and runs a creative side project on social media where she shares her experiences as a first-generation medical student along with advice and insights for pre-med students and others interested in healthcare careers.
